Nill: Jason Robertson Contract Update

By chance, I ran into Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill by the elevator prior to the Stars matchup tonight against the Colorado Avalanche, game five of the preseason without Jason Robertson. 

When asked about the status of contract negotiations, Nill informed me there was nothing new to report, but the line of communication remains constant: “We are talking every day”.

In regard to reports that a deal with the Stars leading goal scorer could happen by the end of the week, “I don’t know anything about those reports, but I hope they are true.” Nill said with a laugh.

With 10 days until Opening Night, many Stars fans feel the same.
