Stars Recall Forward Matej Blumel, Send Jacob Peterson to AHL
On Wednesday, the Dallas Stars announced that they have called up forward Matej Blumel from the Texas Stars and sent forward Jacob Peterson down to the AHL.
On Wednesday, the Dallas Stars announced that they have called up forward Matej Blumel from the Texas Stars and sent forward Jacob Peterson down to the AHL.
Blumel was impressive during training camp and has been on a tear in the AHL. In five games, he has tallied five goals and eight points.
Meanwhile, Peterson struggled in his only game this season, going minus-1 in Ottawa. Due to NHL rules, if he had played one more game, he would need to clear waivers before being sent down. This was a necessary and smart move from Jim Nill and the Stars.
Blumel could make his Stars debut as soon as Thursday against the Washington Capitals.
