It may be time for Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger to make his return.

On Wednesday, the Dallas Stars sent goaltender Matt Murray down to the Texas Stars and recalled forward Matej Blumel. The move likely means that Oettinger is ready to return from injury.

In five games without Oettinger, Dallas went 3-2-0, winning three in a row, sandwiched between two losses. While Matt Murray did not play, backup Scott Wedgewood was stellar during the three-game win streak, allowing only two goals in each contest.

Before his injury, and even during, Oettinger was the best goalie in the NHL. He currently leads the league in both save percentage (.952) and goals-against average (1.40).

Blumel was called up prior to Oettinger's injury after dominating at the AHL level with five goals, eight points in six games. Per the Stars, Blumel would have likely made his Stars debut against the Los Angeles Kings if not for the Oettinger injury and cap issues that followed.

Schedule: Dallas is scheduled to practice on Thursday before visiting the Children's Medical Center.
